Our Story
From Amritsar, to wherever a child is waiting
GiveWise Educational Foundation is a Section 8 non-profit organisation working to make quality education free and reachable for every child.
Our work began in Amritsar, Punjab, where we started teaching children who had the talent and the hunger to learn, but not the means to pay for good teaching. The change we saw — in the children’s results, and even more in their confidence and motivation — travelled. Schools in Maharashtra heard of the work and approached us themselves, asking us to teach their children too. Today, even children who attend paid coaching centres in their towns choose to learn with us — free, and happy.
We teach live and online, six days a week, with weekly tests, study material and personal mentoring — the full discipline of a good school, carried to the child’s own home and village.

The teacher who started it all.
Before founding GiveWise, Amit Kumar taught Physics at renowned schools and institutions, and has been invited as a chief guest by renowned institutions. In 2025 he founded GiveWise so that no child’s future depends on what their parents can pay.
